Hey all,
I'm new. I have a question. I've been buying the UK DvDs even though I'm in the US (mostly because I'm impatient). Right now under BBC America on iTunes season 1 of Merlin is on sale for $10! But the iTunes advert says something about the full UK version finally being available.

I'm thinking out switching to the US DvDs. I was wondering if anyone knew what the difference was between the two (US & UK) versions? Is it really that different?

Sorry about the tags, I'm mobile right now and for some reason all the tags aren't posting.

*waves hello to community*

It's been awhile since we had one of these, so how about a reaction post for those of us in the US and elsewhere who can't get the episode until a bit later? I know sometimes I feel a bit awkward joining other comms' posts when they already have 200+ comments. ^_^
The Merlin NYC group will be meeting Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 11:30 AM at the Cloisters Medieval Festival – a chance to go all medieval on Merlin.

For those who haven’t been before, it's similar to most Ren-faires: jousting, sword-fighting, plays, lots of things to buy, a parade or two. And it only costs $2 to get in. And it's a lot of fun. Really, it's well worth the trip!

Here's the link to the info. We'd love to have any Merlin fans show up, NYC members or not!

Parked – 6 PM Oct 2.

Parked will be shown at New York University's Cantor Film Center (36 E 8th Street) on October 2, Sunday at 6 PM. It is part of the Irish Film New York screening series, which will showcase Irish films at the University from September 30 to October 2. There will be a Q& A with director Darragh Byrne after the screening. You can buy tickets at this link. For more information about the screening series, visit their website here.

Some of us will be there as well.

Enjoy challenge communities (ie ones where you compete on teams doing various challenges from fanart to games to discussions)?  Missing your writing or artistic muse and looking for prompts and inspiration?  Eager to discuss Merlin or meet and bond with other fans?  Trying to stay involved with fandom even if you're no longer loving the show?  Looking to have some FUN?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please join merlin_land, a great, close-knit community where you are bound to make Merlin fandom friends and have a good time, with all kinds of challenges that pretty much anyone can participate in, from games like 20 Questions or Bingo, to the occasional cracky RPG challenge, to fanfiction and fanart and fanvid challenges and lively discussions, this comm has it all!  And there are plenty of challenges that don't take a lot of time if you have busy lives and still want to participate...

TL;DR: Join merlin_land, applying for either Team Merlin, Team Arthur, or Team Morgana here!

Right after you get done watching Merlin on SyFy tonight, you can switch over to Starz and watch their 'sneak preview' of Camelot, episode 1.  They're showing it to us right after Spartacus ends this time, so I wonder if this means that Merlin and Camelot will end up airing at the same time once Camelot gets going??

Minimerlin now has a hotel and date set for our convention! Check out our info post for everything you need to know! ♥
I got them the day they came out. I wish they'd have given us Secrets and Magic though. And the deleted scenes...I'm glad for Youtube.

Also, did anyone realize Richard Wilson was in the cast of the animated Gnomeo and Juliet movie they've been advertising? I'll have to watch it to see if I can pick his voice out.

For those of you who are interested, MiniMerlin 2011 is going to open registration in the next couple of weeks, but first we need to make sure we have enough people planning to come that we can lock in a group discount. So fill out this poll if you're planning to attend! And keep an eye on minimerlin for future updates! ♥

This is the important part

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) holds the exclusive distribution, home entertainment and licensing rights to The Adventures of Merlin. FME has sold the series to over 52 broadcasters in more than 183 countries including Network Ten in Australia, MICO in Japan and RTL in Germany.

I was watching Highlander and just saw the season 3 opener ad on Syfy. Made me happy, although sadly it's not new this time around, unlike last year.

Just took a look at my cable online tv guide and it seems that SYFY's Merlin marathon scheduled for Dec. 13 has been replaced by movies. At this time, the January dates remain the same.
